Why choose a Wix Partner Legend to design, improve or manage your website?

If you're looking for a Wix website designer, you might have noticed that some designers and agencies have a Wix Partner badge or mention that they're a Wix Partner Legend. But what does that actually mean? And does it make a difference when you're choosing someone to build, redesign or manage your website?

I'm a Wix Partner Legend, the highest level in the Wix Partner Programme, so I thought I'd explain what that means — and, more importantly, what it means for you as a client.

What is a Wix Partner Legend?

Wix has a Partner Programme for professionals who build websites and provide services to clients using Wix. There are four Partner levels, with Legend at the highest level.

Reaching Legend isn't simply a case of paying for a subscription or choosing a premium account. It's earned through sustained activity and experience on the platform, including things such as building and upgrading client websites and developing your Wix Studio expertise. In other words, it's an indication that you've spent a significant amount of time working with Wix and with real client projects.

I've built a substantial portfolio of Wix websites over the years, which is how I've reached Legend status.

But, knowing Wix isn't the same as knowing how to design a good website

Wix is designed to make website creation accessible to everyone, that's one of its strengths. And anyone can go ahead and build their own Wix wesbite. But, having the ability to put a website together doesn't necessarily mean you've designed the right website for your audience or business goal.

That's where my background comes in.

I'm a designer with more than 20 years of professional design experience, with a particular background in UX and UI design. So when I build a website, I'm thinking about much more than colours, fonts and images. I'm thinking about the person who is going to use it...

  • What brought them there?

  • What are they looking for?

  • What information do they need?

  • What questions or problem do they have?

  • What might stop them from getting their mission done?

  • What should happen next?

  • And, and, and....

Good website designers never stop asking questions, because...

Your website has to work for your audience

This is probably the most important principle behind the websites I design.

Your website isn't really for you. It's for the people you're trying to reach.

That means your website needs to speak their language, answer their questions and make it easy for them to find what they're looking for.

A consultant might need to establish expertise and credibility.

A artist might need to communicate personality, availability and previous work.

A professional service business might need to explain something complicated in a way that's easy to understand.

A creative business might need a strong portfolio.

A local business might need to show up on search, ahead of their competitors.

A good website has a foundational structure that should reflect the business and the audience. That's UX. And it's a big part of what I bring to Wix website design.

What happens when you work with me?

I take care of the whole website process rather than simply handing you a Wix template and leaving you to work it out. Depending on the project, that can include:

UX and website structure

I'll help establish what pages you need, what information belongs where and how visitors should move through the website.

UI and visual design

I'll bring your branding, typography, imagery, colour, layout and visual identity together into a cohesive website.

Wix website design and build

I'll build the website in Wix, creating the pages, layouts, navigation and functionality needed for your business.

Mobile optimisation

Your mobile website isn't an afterthought. I'll review how the content, typography, navigation, buttons, images and layouts work at smaller screen sizes and make adjustments so the experience works properly across devices.

SEO and GEO foundations

I'll make sure the important foundations are in place, including page titles, descriptions, headings, URLs, image optimisation and content structure. I'm not an SEO agency and I don't promise instant Google rankings because I don't work on paid-spend search. What I do do is make sure your website is properly structured and has a solid SEO foundation from the start so that over time you're show up in natural search.

Domain connection and launch

I'll deal with the practical side of getting your new website live, including connecting your domain and carrying out the final checks before launch.

Training and handover

I don't disappear when your website goes live! I'll show you how to use your Wix website and provide training so you can make the updates you need to make yourself (if you want to). And if you'd rather not manage it yourself, I can help with that too!

What if you already have a Wix website?

Wix is brilliant because it gives business owners the freedom to create and manage their own website. But over time, just like business, websites evolve. You add pages, change your services, update your branding, add new images, start a blog and make changes as your business grows. Before long, the website you originally built can become a little disjointed, harder to navigate or simply not work as well as it could.

That doesn’t necessarily mean you need to start again. Sometimes you just need someone with a design and UX eye to step back and look at the whole thing properly.

I can help you work out what’s working, what isn’t and what could be improved, from the structure and navigation through to the visual design, mobile experience, calls to action and SEO foundations. It might be a case of making a few well-chosen changes, or it might be that your business has moved on so much that a bigger rethink makes sense.

I also provide Wix website maintenance, fixes, training and website growth in line with your business goals - contact me to talk about your Wix website and how I can help

Either way, I’m not going to tell you that you need a new website just because you’ve asked me to look at the one you already have. I’ll look at what you’ve got, understand what you’re trying to achieve now and give you an honest view of what I think would make the biggest difference.

And if what you really need is help managing the site yourself, I can also provide Wix training so you feel confident making those changes going forward.

Wix training

If what you really need is a bit of help getting to grips with your Wix website, I also offer practical, tailored Wix training. You might have built the site yourself, inherited a website from someone else, need to upskill your team so you can handover updates to them or simply want to feel more confident making updates yourself without having to ask someone else every time.

Rather than giving you a generic tutorial and hoping it makes sense, I can work through your own website with you and show you how to manage the things you actually need to use. That might be updating pages and images, adding blog posts, making changes to your navigation, understanding the basics of SEO or simply getting more familiar with how Wix works. The aim is to leave you feeling confident enough to manage the day-to-day bits yourself, while knowing you can always get help when you need something more involved.

Wix maintenance and ongoing support

And if you don’t want to manage your website yourself, I can help with that too!

I offer ongoing Wix maintenance and design support, so you have someone you can come back to when you need changes made, rather than having to figure everything out yourself.

That could be something as simple as updating your content, changing images or adding a new service, through to creating new pages, adding sections or making larger design and layout changes as your business develops. It’s useful if you know what you want to change but don’t have the time, confidence or inclination to sit and work out how to do it in Wix.

You don’t need to become a Wix expert just because you own a Wix website. You can get on with running your business and bring me in when you need an experienced designer who already knows your website and how to make those changes properly.

Why work with a Wix Partner Legend in Folkestone?

I’m based in Folkestone and work with businesses across Sandgate, Hythe, Dover, Ashford and the wider Kent area, as well as clients further afield in London. There’s something really useful about having a local designer you can actually talk to, particularly if you’re a small or independent business and want a more personal service.

If you’re looking for an affordable, professionally designed website without the cost and complexity of a larger agency, Wix can be a really good option. I design and build websites around your business, rather than giving you something generic and leaving you to work out the rest.

I also offer a 20% local business discount for businesses in the local area, so if you’re nearby, it’s worth taking advantage of that. And being local means I can also offer in-person meetings, training and support where that makes sense, rather than everything having to happen over email or a video call.

Whether you need a new Wix website, an existing site improving, some training or ongoing support, you can have someone local who already knows the platform inside out and understands how to make a website work for the people using it.
