I’m officially a Wix Partner Legend! And here’s why I’m so proud of it
There are some business milestones that feel particularly nice to share. This is one of them.
I’m officially a Wix Partner Legend!

Not only does it have a particularly fun ring to it, calling yourself a Legend, which, if you know me well, probably makes you laugh a little too! But if you know The Karma Creative, you’ll probably know that Wix is a big part of what I do. What you might not know is what being a Wix Legend actually means, how you earn that status, or why I’m particularly proud of it. So, allow me to explain...
What is a Wix Partner Legend?
Wix has a Partner Programme for professionals who build websites for clients using Wix. There are four levels within the programme, and Legend is the highest.
It isn't a badge you can simply buy or add to your Wix account because you've been using the platform for a while. It represents sustained experience and activity on the platform, earned through things such as building and upgrading client websites and developing your Wix Studio expertise.

Over the years, I've built websites for businesses across a whole range of sectors and developed a pretty extensive knowledge of the Wix platform along the way. And that's what makes the Legend status meaningful to me, it's recognition of the work I've actually done.
I've been designing for a long time!
Before The Karma Creative, before Wix, before running my own studio, I was already a designer. I've got more than 25 years of professional design experience, working across branding, print, digital and websites.
I've worked in print studios, e-commerce and digital environments, and on projects for major organisations as well as small independent businesses. I also have a background in UX and UI design. That matters because I don't approach a website as simply a collection of attractive pages. I'm interested in what happens when someone actually uses it...
Who are they? What are they looking for? What do they need to know? What might make them hesitate? Where should they go next? How can we make the experience clearer, easier and more useful?
A website needs to work for the person using it
I think this is one of the biggest differences between simply building a website and designing one properly.
A website can look beautiful and still be terrible.
It can have all the right information and still make it difficult to find. It can be full of clever design but leave a potential customer wondering what the business actually does. It can have lovely imagery, colours and icons but never actually get seen by its' intended audience.
My UX background means I think about the whole picture, right from the beginning. I want to understand your business goal and your audience and make sure the website actually performs. If someone arrives looking for a service, I want them to be able to understand that service quickly. If they're comparing you with someone else, I want the information they need to build confidence to be easy to find. If they're ready to get in touch, I don't want the contact process to become an obstacle. And if they're browsing on their phone, the experience needs to work just as well there. That thinking sits behind every website I build.
Why Wix?
I've built websites across different platforms, but Wix is the platform I use for the majority of my website projects. And I know it very, very well. One of the things I like about Wix is that it gives small businesses a genuinely practical website platform.
You don't need a developer every time you want to change a piece of text, add a blog post or update an image. You can have a professionally designed website and still retain control of it. That's a really good combination for many of the small businesses I work with.
And because I understand the platform so well, I can concentrate on the things that matter beyond simply making the technology work: UX, structure, design, content, mobile experience and the details that make the finished website feel professional and work towards your business goal.
So what do you actually get when you work with me?
This is probably more useful than the badge itself. When I build a website, you're getting much more than someone who knows where the buttons are in Wix!

I bring;
Years of professional, varied design experience
Extensive Wix experience and Wix Legend status
Website strategy and information architecture
Responsive design and mobile optimisation
SEO foundations
Domain connection and launch
Testing and quality checking
Training and handover
And, if you need it, ongoing Wix maintenance and support.
I can also work with an existing Wix website rather than starting again from scratch.
Sometimes your website doesn't need replacing, it just needs someone experienced to work out what's not working.
Already built your own Wix website?
This is something I help with quite a lot. One of the great things about Wix is that anyone (yes really, anyone!) can build their own website.
But there's a difference between being able to build a website and knowing how to design one that workls effectively.
Perhaps you've built yours yourself and now you're wondering why you're not getting the enquiries you expected. Perhaps the mobile version doesn't look quite right. Perhaps your navigation has grown into a bit of a mess. Perhaps your business has evolved but your website hasn't. Perhaps your SEO hasn't been set up properly and you'r enot showing up in search, Claude or ChatGPT.
Or perhaps you simply look at it and think, "I know this could be better." That's where I can come in. I can audit, redesign, restructure, improve, train you or simply help you get your existing Wix website working harder.
And yes, I'm based in Folkestone
The Karma Creative is based in Folkestone, and I work with businesses across Folkestone, Sandgate, Hythe, Dover, Ashford and the wider Kent area, as well as clients across the UK.
So if you're looking for a Wix website designer in Folkestone, or someone to help you improve an existing Wix website, you're in the right place. I work with small businesses, start-ups, consultants, professional service providers, creatives and people who simply need a better website. Contact me today for a free consultation and let's discuss your project.
Why I'm proud of the Legend status
I didn't set out to become a Wix Legend. I set out to become really good at designing websites. I wanted to understand how people use them, what makes them work, what makes them frustrating and how design can help a small business communicate what it does properly.
Wix became the platform I built a large part of that work around. So becoming a Legend feels like a lovely bit of recognition for all those websites, all those clients, all those hours of problem solving and all that experience I've built up over the years.
I'm proud of it.
But the badge isn't really the point. The point is what I can do with that experience for your business. If your website needs building, improving, redesigning, managing or simply a bit of expert attention, come and talk to me.
