I’m really pleased to share that I’ll be guest speaking and hosting two upcoming workshops with Folkestone networking business With Good Company — a brilliant community supporting small businesses through connection, learning and collaboration.
I’m passionate about making design and digital tools more accessible, practical and open to all and I champion confidence-building for small businesses. These two sessions are designed to do exactly that.
Workshop 1: Canva Pro for business success, Wednesday 13th May 2026
The first session will focus on unlocking the full potential of Canva Pro for everyday business use. We’ll cover:
An introduction to Canva Pro and why it’s a worthwhile investment
Creating and maintaining consistent branding using the Brand Kit
Core design principles in a simple, practical way
Speeding up workflow with templates and reusable designs
Magic Resize for multi-platform content creation
Using Pro stock assets to elevate your visuals
Transparent PNGs, background removal and export options
Sharing and downloading for social, email, presentations and print
The focus is on helping businesses work faster, stay consistent and feel more confident creating their own marketing content — without overthinking or overcomplicating the process.
This session is designed to help small businesses and startups take full ownership of their visual output and turn Canva Pro into a reliable creative tool. We’ll begin with a simple introduction to branding and core design principles before moving into hands-on, practical application inside Canva. The aim is to help attendees work more efficiently, stay visually consistent and feel more in control of their brand output.
No jargon, no overwhelm — just clear, usable guidance that makes design feel achievable.
Workshop 2: How to build a website, Wednesday 3rd June 2026
For the website session, we’ll explore:
Different platforms available and how to choose the right one
Getting started with your own website
Core principles like consistency, typography, colour and imagery
Simple ways to create a strong, professional online presence
